of India, only 12 of them are designated as international airports.

infastructure. This has been carried out with joint initiatives between
government and private industry. Many exisiting international airports have
been modernised but continuing modernisation and rebuilding will continue
for many years to come.
India has responded quickly to the urgent need for an efficient and safe
aviation industry of world class standards to match it's rapid rise as a
major player in the global economy.
